From the MD’s desk

I started my journey in the leather goods export business from Kolkata in 1989 as AK Exporters. As the principal founder, my objective was to build an organization with a strong foundational value system. I firmly believe that the success of an organization rests on transparent relationships both within and outside. Therefore, I attribute our success to the long-term “TRUST” factor we have earned from our valued customers, employees, and vendors over the last three decades. AKE’S success journey is an outcome of the seamless team effort of professionals who work on strict timelines to deliver the best-in-class quality with the utmost cost efficiency under the most safe and hygienic work conditions. Our long-term business relations with our customers are thus the outcome of our business ethos and service delivery. It gives me a great sense of pride and accomplishment that our work has been patronised repeatedly by the top-of-the-line brands across the globe. We continuously upgrade our infrastructure and skills to meet the latest sourcing requirements of reputed brands from all over the globe. We are an ambitious organization, and like always, we define growth as continuity.

I inherit the passion to take this company to greater heights based on the ethos upon which it has been built. I was introduced to AKE from a very young age. My father is a visionary, and it has been his futuristic vision that has provided me with adequate professional exposure alongside my education. After completing Chartered Accountancy, I pursued an MBA from the UK, which helped me to understand global work standards. As a second-generation business entrepreneur, I aim to introduce dynamism into our company’s operations that would blend with our strong legacy of value systems to address the ever-changing needs of the global audience.
